Many homebuilders assume they can't have walls of glass and be energy efficient at the same time.  But they can.  Here's a look at a current modern hillside project of ours that has two 18' to 23' walls of glass facing south that are 15% more efficient than what Title 24 Standard Code requires.

Our solution is a combination of a 7'8" overhang and the right kind of glass with the proper tinting specification.  The net effect produces a dramatic unfettered view, a lower energy bill and a very excited Beverly Hills Planning and Building department.
